how it all began

Hi, I’m Sorella! I’m a sugar-free chocolate and sweet treats brand created by two sisters back in 2014. I was the diabetic-friendly chocolate they had always wanted but were struggling to find. One of the sisters had type 1 diabetes, and none of the sugar-free alternatives in South Africa tasted creamy and delicious like chocolate should. They had a nasty aftertaste and grainy texture – and nobody got time for that!

It took the siblings many months to perfect me, using the finest Belgian chocolate and natural, organic ingredients, without refined sugar. I’m a silky, melt-in-your-mouth treat made with maltitol. Healthy chocolate lovers who can’t (or choose not to) eat sugar are drawn to me because they know they deserve to have sweet treats that still taste incredible. I’m told that I’ve been able to satisfy every craving.

A SISTERHOOD OF SUGAR-FREE INDULGENCE​​

I joined a new sisterhood in 2023 and my workshop is now a friendly little home kitchen in Johannesburg. I’m handcrafted by a tiny yet hugely passionate bunch of people who really care about how I look (in a very non-pretentious way, I must say). It’s this loving sisterhood that creates the guilt-free artisanal chocolates and sweet treats that make you feel really good.

That’s why we’ve innovated beyond dark, milk and white chocolate without sugar.
